Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, including the DustCrow game, this website, and "SARIS Bot", you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms are provided by Null Effect Studio, a trading name of a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
Eligibility
DustCrow and our related services are intended for players aged 13 and over. By using them, you confirm you are at least 13 years old.
Player Identity and Accounts
DustCrow runs a shared online economy. The game verifies your Meta (Oculus) account and ties your progress and economy data to a stable, account-derived identifier. How that works is set out in our Privacy Policy. By playing, you agree that:
- Your player identity is tied to your Meta account and cannot be reset to avoid rate limits, sanctions, or bans.
- You will not attempt to spoof, forge, or otherwise fake another player's identity or a verified session.
Analytics
By playing our games, you agree to the collection of gameplay data as described in our Privacy Policy. This data is tied to a pseudonymous, account-derived identifier (not to your name or contact details) and is used for:
- Authentication and anti-cheat: confirming players and keeping the shared economy fair.
- Aggregate statistics: tracking community-wide progress (for example, community earnings shown in Discord).
- Game balancing: tuning mechanics and improving the game.
- Bug identification: monitoring system health and finding technical issues.
Your rights over this data, including how to access or delete it, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Leaderboards
DustCrow has public leaderboards, shown in the game and on this website. If you play online, your Meta username appears on them next to your ranking. You can opt out of appearing in the game's settings. We may remove or hide leaderboard entries we believe result from cheating or that break these terms.
In-Game Economy and Virtual Currency
- No real-world value: in-game credits and any other virtual currency, items, or balances exist only inside DustCrow. They are not money, have no real-world monetary value, and cannot be bought from us for real money, sold, cashed out, transferred, or exchanged for anything of real-world value.
- Licence, not property: virtual items and currency are a limited licence to use them within the game. You do not own them, and we may adjust, reset, or remove them where needed to run the game or enforce these terms.
- Fair play: the economy is protected by anti-cheat systems. Manipulating the economy, exploiting bugs for gain, tampering with saves or network traffic, or otherwise cheating may result in rate limits, sanctions, rollbacks, or a ban tied to your player identity.
SARIS Bot Usage
For key distribution and giveaways through SARIS Bot:
- Personal use only: keys distributed by the bot are for personal use by the recipient only. Reselling or commercially distributing keys is prohibited.
- Anti-abuse: abusing the giveaway system, including using multiple Discord accounts (alts) to increase your chances, breaks these terms.
- Disqualification: users who break the anti-abuse rule may be disqualified from current and future giveaways and have their keys revoked.
Limitation of Liability
We provide these services on an "as-is" basis. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party platforms such as Meta, Discord, or Supabase. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Modifications
We may modify these terms as the game and our services change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
